ECO gallery hosting Behbahani sculptures

TEHRAN – Sculptures by prominent sculptor and painter Taha Behbahani sold over 1.2 billion rials (about $12,000) on the initial day of display at the ECO Cultural Institute (ICI) gallery in an exhibition which opened on Monday.

About 1500 veteran artist and diplomats attended the first day of the exhibit.

The exhibit is displaying about 40 bronze sculptures with the central theme of birds.

Works by Behbahani promote the spiritual art of Iran and reflect concepts of mysticism. His works are found in many collections worldwide.

The exhibit will be running until November 24 at the ECO gallery located on No.10, Naz Valley, off Aqdasieh Ave.
